Denon Silence

Once you have used a good noise reduction headset you will not want to travel without it. Ten years ago only Bose had good ones. In the mean time there are plenty but not all deserve the name. This one does and it's cheaper than the overprized Bose, too:

If worn at home you may not hear your wife calling you to pick up your socks or put the lid down on the toilet – nor when she calls for dinner…

Philips Wireless HDTV

Namiki Vanishing Point

It's the coolest fountain pen ever. Not only it's a Japanese quality product, but it also features a retractable mechanism (thus 'vanishing point') for the nib that makes this fountain pen as easy to use as a normal pen - but with style. Call me oldfashioned, but this is luxury at an affordable level:

The ink never dries out because there is a little flap protecting the nib (as there is no cap). I've convinced seven (and counting) of my Swiss colleagues here and they are all completely happy or rather proud of their unpretentious writing device (an antipode to the Montblanc owners). This is an ultimate thing - and it's in fashion;-) I have used it for years now and would not give it away anymore. Did I mention the rhodium trim?
